Powerlevelling - is it worth it?

If you use either Joana's or Brian Kopp's guide you can powerlevel in World of Warcraft from 1 to 60 in about 5 days played - a total play time of 120 hours. If you want the experience of leveling this is great, but what if this is your second or third character and just want to be level 60 to go on raids or play alongside your friends?

That's 120 hours of hard grinding. Three weeks work if you can put in 40 hours a week. Never mind leveling up trade skills or running to the AH to buy and sell. Considering that there are powerleveling services out there that will do this for around $190, this works out to an hourly rate of $1.58 an hour.

Would you take a job paying $1.58 an hour?

If you would, then you are doing fine.

If not you may want to consider a power levelling service. Trouble is there are a number of dodgy people out there who will take your money and leave you still on level 1, or worse still, get your account banned. A friend of a friend of a friend (yeah, right) told me that both Guy4Game and BroGame deliver the goods and have good support. But don't tell anybody I told you.
